Downtown Vancouver has limited public or park space, there are however, many privately owned public spaces (POPS). Because many of these spaces are publicly accessible in their design, it provides a huge opportunity to increase the number of spaces that can be utilized by the public to gather, engage, create a sense of community, or simply sit down to enjoy the fresh air. We call these opportunistic spaces Perches.
